I am an expert tutor who uses mindfulness, meditation, 
gentle movement practices, and practical skills to help your 
student succeed. Our sessions can: increase focus and 
concentration, improve decision-making, increase confidence, 
and improve grades. Sessions are one hour and include 
practical help in spelling and phonics. Lessons are tailored 
to your student's needs. You won't find another tutor who 
works with your child in this way! I have more than 10 years 
of experience tutoring and I am a professionally trained 
teacher. I've worked with ages five through 18, as well as 
college students and adults. I have been training in 
intuitive and meditation practices for more than five years.

Reading, Phonics and Spelling Tutor

I teach systematic phonics instruction, and am very passionate about teaching 
reading skills. With my lessons I have watched students jump two grade levels 
in reading within 6 months of instruction. I teach students skills to decode 
words using phonics, along with the most common sight words and sight 
syllables in the English language. To improve fluency and reading 
comprehension, I incorporate texts that are both engaging and challenging 
for students into the lessons. I love what I do, and enjoy instilling in my 
students a passion for reading. I live in Berkeley and am willing to tutor in the 
East Bay area.
