Summer tutoring in Spanish can be fun?low-pressure,
entertaining, and helpful.

If your middle or high school student is struggling with
Spanish, I can help!

I am an energetic, focused and playful tutor who loves my
job. I have experience with all kinds of students, from
those with ADD/ADHD and/or learning disabilities to those
in AP classes headed for top universities.

As a fluent, NON-native Spanish speaker with a B.A. and
M.A. in English from Cal, I understand thoroughly the
differences and similarities between Spanish and English
vocabulary and grammar, and the problems English-speakers
most frequently encounter when learning Spanish.

I am booking summer sessions now. Call or email me for
more information or check out my website at
www.tutorclara.com.

?Mucho gusto! Me llamo Benjam?n. I'm a bilingual teacher and professional
translator. From higher grades and test prep to writing well and speaking fluently,
my rigorous instruction will help your son or daughter succeed in Spanish.

Ten years ago, while studying Spanish at Cornell University, I was awarded
Cornell's Prize for Excellence in Foreign Language Study for demonstrated mastery
of Spanish.

After college, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, where I taught
Spanish to foreigners and served as a community interpreter.

After the Peace Corps, I was hired as a Spanish teacher at a New York City high
school, where I was trained in differentiated instruction, which enabled me to
tailor my teaching methods to a wide spectrum of students with varying needs and
abilities.

This past year, I produced a 17,000-word Spanish translation of a research report
that was cited by the New York Times, National Public Radio, and other leading news
