Oct 03 2009 I am a caring, patient teacher and tutor with many years of teaching experience. I hold an MA in Theology and have used Latin, Koine Greek and Classical Hebrew extensively in my graduate research. I hold a Full-time, Adult Designated Subjects teaching credential from the State of California which anyone with a computer can access at the proper site: the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I charge between $40 and $60 an hour for private tutoring. I drive a Volkswagon Beetle so I can come to your home or office. The best way to contact me is by email at markgarrow@hotmail.com . Mark Michael Garrow markgarrow[at]hotmail.com ----------------------------------------------- Sep 22 2009 I'm a former Latin teacher and Latin sub, with more than five years' experience as a private tutor. My own Latin education started in seventh grade with a wonderful teacher with whom I still keep in touch, and my passion for Latin is still going strong -- in my career as a freelance writer, I have written about Latin for the Washington Post Magazine and New York Times, and I love introducing people to the language. While I work with all levels of students, I particularly enjoy tutoring beginners who are confused about the grammar and/or don't understand why they're being asked to learn a ''dead'' language. I'm based out of Oakland (Lake Merritt area) and work with students in nearby libraries and coffee shops. (I can also travel to your home, depending on location.) Please email me to inquire about rates and availability. Catherine Price catherine.price[at]gmail.com
