As a writer with a B.A. in English with a concentration in
creative writing, and experience as a tutor at a local
junior college, I found that many students benefit from
instruction that brings creativity and knowledge together to
solve grammar and linguistic problems.

I specialize in editing work of non-native English speakers
as well as editing fiction, creative non-fiction, and
academic papers with experience as a Fiction editor and
Managing editor of an academic literary journal.

Email me for rates.

I look forward to reading your work!

I am a patient, experienced tutor with over twenty years
of experience teaching and tutoring students in ESL. I
have taught ESL classes in junior colleges and in adult
schools. At one time I tutored student athletes at
Southern Methodist University as an idependent contractor.
I hold both a BA and an MA and a full-time, adult
designated subjects teaching credential. I live in Oakland
and have a car. My rates start at about $40/hr. I am able
and willing to work with both high school and college
students as well as busy professionals who may need help
with special projects at work and at school. I type well
and am willing to help put academic papers and business
documents together for select clients using Microsoft
Word, Publisher etc. I would be happy to furnish you with
professional references from former students and other
teachers and administrators who know me well.

Hi!
My name is Ali, I'm a recent graduate from UC San Diego
living in Berkeley for the summer. I completed a course in
teaching English as a second lanaguage while living abroad
in Spain, and can help your child practice English. I am
patient, flexible and hardworking and have many years of
experiencing working with kids. Having lived abroad I
understand both the joys and frustrations of learning a
second language and would tailor my lessons based on your
child's needs.
I am available to start working immediately and have
references available upon request!
Thank you!

I offer private tutoring services to any high school or
beginning college student who may need help with his/her
reading or writing. I am accustomed to teaching English to
first and second year college students. The bulk of my
experience with this population has been in work with the
developmental student, the basic reader and writer, or
students who have yet to meet the prerequisite standards set
for First Year Freshman English. However, Ive also taught
numerous Freshman English Courses. In addition to teaching,
Ive tutored college students and taught high school
English. I can work with a student on essays for classes,
any reading material (novels, textbooks etc) or the day to
day homework and schoolwork assignments. My fees are
$40/hour and I will email you my resume should you request
it. If you are interested in finding out more or scheduling
a preliminary meeting with me and your child, email me or
call: leonorawillis@yahoo.com and cell (323) 253-3277.
