Baby Massage
April 2012
I tried using a book to give my baby a massage and now I
decided I do it wrong and I should hire someone to massage
him for me. Is there any place in Berkeley that offers
massages for infants?
My post-partum doula, Carol Shattuck-Rice, was excellent in
teaching me infant massage and giving me the relevant
hand-outs. Her phone number is 510-527-7210. Even at 13
months, our boy goes to bathroom after a tummy massage. He
feels relaxed and sleepy after arm and leg massage.

Hi,
Has anyone has taken a mom and infant massage and/or yoga class that was
great? If so, please let me know.
Thanks!
Nicole
I highly recommend Kim Lyons! She is indeed most gifted, gentle,
and most of all, my son loved her voice. We attended her class
when he was 3 months and it was always such a treat to learn not
only different massage techniques and baby stretches, but also,
new songs to sing and creative ways to amuse your infant. Check
her out - her website is:

Can anyone recommend a baby massage class? I have heard lots of
good things about baby massage but have not found a class.
Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend the classes of Kim Lyons, who teaches in
Rockridge; she teaches a series of four one-hour classes each
month. She is calm, fun, and very knowledgeable. You can find
more information on her website at www.movingfromwithin.com.
