Looking for an outstanding Christian high school that is just
minutes from Berkeley? El Sobrante Christian is the place for
you. They have college preperatory classes, small class size,
are non-denominational, and employ excellent academic staff.
The sports programs are great, AP classes are offered, and they
have a state-of-the-art library, which includes academic
advising staff, college search and advice, and a computerized
career apptitude program. The extracurricular activities are
varied (yearbook, leadership committee, homecoming, spirit
week). The student body is multi-cultural and multi-
denominational. The school environment is structured and
geared towards college, with fun activities and events
happening all of the time.

A happy ESCHS parent

I was wondering if anyone could give any feedback on El
Sobrante Christian. My child will be starting Kindergarten in
September and I wanted some advice/feedback on this school.
Mrs Williams
My son attends 5th grade at El Sobrante Christian. I have met many caring and
supportive teachers who have all been willing to go the extra mile to ensure my
son's success. The academic program has been demanding, at least it has been
for my son. I work with him most evenings and just last night, he and I both
struggled with finding the answers to some of the questions on the study
guide for his science test. The vice principal is fantastic. She is sharp,
compassionate and the kids really respect her. I know of kids that have been
dismissed for disciplinary problems and I think the school does a good job of
making clear the policy around unacceptable behavior. Parents are active and
involved in the school and I have met some very genuine people. I am always
amazed at the large number of parent who sign up for field trips. It shows, I
think, a real committment to the school's program and kid's success. My son
started band this year and he seems to really enjoy it. It is a small but caring
community and I am very pleased with the kind of experiences we have had.
Hope this helps a little.
