Re: Part-time preschool for 5 year old in fall?
I highly recommend Yani and Teresa Benavides' daycare/preschool. They are located in El Sobrante, conveniently off the Hilltop 80 freeway exit. They have a HUGE space and can in fact turn it into a bigger school but they want to keep it intimate, so there are 14 maximum kids, from infants through kindergarten. Some kindergarten siblings even attend afterschool so that they are together with their younger ones. Hours are from 7:30am to 6pm, and the rates are unbelievably affordable (you'll have to call them and ask because it's crazy cheap), AND they serve homecooked meals (breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner if the child is there til 6pm). There are 4 teachers so it's a really good teacher:kid ratio. They are all patient, loving and attentive. I could go and on. You should call them and get a tour.
