I'd like to recommend Squiggles & Wiggles in Hercules. We've been sending our son since he was 3 months old. He's now 7 months and he (and we) loves it. Faizah, the owner of this home based daycare, is absolutely great. You can tell she loves kids and loves what she does. My son smiles at her door when we show up in the morning; he's so happy to be there. She currently has openings for preschoolers (ages 2 -5, or maybe it's 6).
