Susan Park was a God sent angel when my husband and I found
her as a childcare provider for my son. My son started at
Park's Place when he was seven months old. He attended
Park's Place for two and a half years. As a first time
mother, Susan has a great way of putting you at ease and
caring for your child as if they were one of her own
grandchildren. I loved the Diamond District neighborhood
where Park's Place is located. It is a great neighborhood
for walks and neighbors are always pushing strollers and
walking dogs. Children at Parks Place are taken for walks
and they also play in a spacious backyard. Children are
provided snacks, breakfast and lunch once they are no longer
using formula or breast milk for meals. Susan is committed
to using the best practices in home daycare and she attends
classes at Bananas throughout the year. The number of
children at Park Place is under 6. During my son's time
there, Park's Place had only three full time children and
one part time child enrolled. I wish I had another child
ready to take my son's place. I hope when the time comes to
expand my family, there will be space available. If you
have any questions please do not hesitate contacting me.

I must disclose that the caregiver is my mother-in-law first. I highly recommend her regardless - she has cared for all three of our young children and has done a great job. She loves to play with the kids -- and the kids love her, so much so that the kids in her care don't want to leave at the end of the day. She prepares healthy food for the kids old enough to eat, some food is from her own garden (she grew up on a farm in Korea). She is fluent in English and Korean.
Check out her website http://oaklandcare.blogspot.com/,
Park Place is has 3 openings for full-time in January 2013
and 2 part-time openings now (M, TH, F) for an
infant/toddler (3 months to 3 years old). Susan is
licensed and CPR/First Aid certified. Her hours are Monday-
Friday 7:30am-5:30pm. Please contact Susan for more
information at 510-482-1798 (evenings are best - please
leave a message during the day) or email baypark@gmail.com.

As a new mom I was frantic trying to find a good place to take my son when I started back to work at 3 months. Mrs. Cheon Park is so nice, warm and caring. She doesn't have a lot of children to take care of so my son got extra attention and love. She took notes as to when my son used the restroom, ate, etc., and had a good report for me whenever I saw her.
She is a genuine person who I will miss as I have had to take my son from this place because we moved to Contra Costa County! :(
She is very very reasonable and is accepting children now
(as of May 2010). Her hours are also flexible and
reasonable. Call her: 510.482.1798 or email me for more
info if you like!
