Mixed Age Preschools
I suggest checking out your local Montessori school. Many Montessori
schools have mixed age classrooms, the idea being that the younger
children emulate and learn from the older ones, while the older
children build self-esteem and learn to teach, among
other things, by helping the littler ones.

My two older children went to the preschool and now attend the elementary
classes at A Childs World Montessori School in Oakland (off of Fruitvale).
The 2-yr olds are separate, but the 3- to 5-yr olds are together in one
classroom ...
