Mama Leo's Daycare (Albany, CA)

(Leonor Castillo, Albany)

Berkeley Parents Network > Reviews > Preschools > Mama Leo's Daycare (Albany, CA)

March 2009

Our daughter attended a wonderful in-home daycare in Albany. Leonor (Leo or Mama Leo, as the children call her) has a very small daycare (up to 4 infants). She is very experienced, loving, energetic, but calm, and structured in her approach. She speaks to the children in Spanish (but also communicates well in English), has a safe fenced in back yard, engages the kids with art and music, and takes the children on walkable outings to the farmer's market and park. In the year and a half that my daughter was there, Leo was never sick, though the vacation time that she takes changes from year to year, so it is good to find out in advance when that will be. Her daily rate is very reasonable. Her daycare is open from 7:45 to 5, but she offers extended care (and evening and weekend care at your house or hers) at an additional cost. Our family trusts and loves Leonor. -Amanda
