We have been very pleased with qaulity of care provided by Linda and her doughter. They both are well educated in term of early childhood education and developement. We have a 2 years old has been with the daycare since last August. My son rarely had diaper rash. They provide 3 nutition meals and 2 snaks daily. Linda speaks both Manderin and English to children. There is always a on site staff to clean up the rooms, change diapers,etc. This is one of the best bilingual daycare aroud Alany and Berkeley area. I will not hesitate to recommand this daycare to anyone who is looking for quality early educations. --A happy mother-- Vicky

We had our child in Linda Fang's daycare for a period of time and finally left. Linda left the facility often for various appts. In the evening when we wanted to ask her a simple question while picking up our child, she would often seem very perturbed, say she was tired and would literally angrilly close the door on us without addressing the question. She also seemed very uncomfortable with the idea of a parent dropping in unnanounced so we were intimidated into never doing that. We finally left when we discovered a serious series of violations uncovered by Community Care Licensing as the result of a surprise visit (when Linda was again not on the premises.) We now know we'll research more thoroughly in the future and trust our instincts more as well. Anon.

Re: Cantonese or Mandarin daycare
You might try Linda Family Daycare, 2120 Acton St. in Berkeley, 848-3659. Linda Fang is Chinese and so are a couple of her assistants, and they speak a lot of Chinese around the children. They also provide excellent care! Jennifer N.
