Our toddler daughters have attended since Dec'08 and love to go there.Everyday they ask about going & can't wait to go.We visited many centers and Leila's was the best--the most clean, safe,&organized compared to many other centers.Her rooms are spacious, w/ separate bedrooms for naps.Kids love to play on her deck and beautiful backyard.They go on walks &play at a nearby playground.She provides healthy and well thought out balanced homemade meals (even authentic Persian food!), making sure the food is as natural as possible.Our girls are big fans of her cooking.The kids are engaged &happy &learn to be caring of each other.Leila & Lupita(assistant)are great models of nurturance. They're very warm, kind &really love caring for &playing w/ the kids.They've been sensitive to our girls' needs &open to our feedback, questions,&requests.We feel lucky that this is our girls' 1st experience outside of the home. Currently there are openings at Leila's as some kids have graduated.When we were looking,she was full and finally after months she had openings, so this is a great opportunity. My 3 year old daughter has been attending Leila's Family Care Center for about 2 years now and I couldn't be more pleased with the care she receives. Leila and her assistant are both very sweet caring people. They provide very wholesome snacks and lunch each day as well as a clean, playful, fun and loving environment. During my first visit to meet with Leila I loved that we all sat on the floor with the kids to talk. I ultimately chose this daycare over the others because our conversation was continuously interrupted by kids running by and tackling both of the providers with hugs. It was just so obvious how much the kids loved them then, and now my daughter has grown to love them too. Care is provided Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. I wanted to recommend my son's daycare run by Leila Mehr. My first son attended from 4 months to 2 1/2 years. My second son has been in Leila's care for the last 6 months. Leila offers a warm and loving environment for children 6 months and up. She has a wonderful space for the children both inside and out. Leila is open from 7:30-5:30 each day except Friday when she closes at 5:00. She provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. She also takes children on walks and to a nearby park when weather permits. Leila also has a wonderful assistant that has been with her for the last 4 years. I couldn't be happier with the care that my boys have received at Leila's. Hello, Both of my children have attended Leila's small cozy daycare from the time they were infants. Leila is warm and loving, and her home is always clean and inviting. Her daycare helper, Lupita, is also fantasitic and is available for babysitting when needed. Leila also makes wonderful homemade food, which is real plus. I highly recommend this daycare to anyone. Both of my boys ( 9 mos and 3 years) attend the same smallish in home daycare in the El Cerrito hills. Their They both love it! Leila the owner, and her assistant Lupita, are warm, loving individuals who take good care of the kids. My 10 month old daughter has been attending Leila's Home Daycare for the last 7 months. Leila and her mom provide an attentive, nurturing and loving environment out of their home. She currently has an opening for another infant/toddler. My daughter had a hard time transitioning to child care (yes, even at 3 months) but Leila didn't give up on her and I know I made the right decision when I see my daughter's face light up when I drop her off.

I highly recommend Leila's Day Care in the El Cerrito Hills. I have had my 16 month old son with Leila for over 6 months and am thrilled with the quality of care. Leila only takes up to 4 kids and her lovely mother helps her - so the kids get lots of love, nurture and individual attention. Leila has a very nice home in the hills with plenty of room for the kids to play. She currently has an opening for another child.
