For daycare for children under 2.5 years old, I strongly recommend Gloria's Daycare, which is located on College, just off Parker. It's a family-run daycare, with Gloria (the mom), Gabriela (the daughter), Felipe (the father, also a professor at Berkeley), and the grandmother helping out sometimes as well. They are a very loving family, speaking Italian, Spanish, and English. My children started going there when they were 4 months old, and they both adore Gloria and her family. Gloria's prices are very reasonable, she provides homecooked Italian meals for lunch (included in the price), and most importantly, she is a loving and kind caretaker.
