I would like to recommend Evelyn Carter of Little Packages in Montclair. Our daughter has been at Evelyn's full time for 2+ years and has thrived. Evelyn and her great staff have taught our daughter not only to walk, talk, use the potty, but most importantly to be a respectful, well mannered child. Evelyn caters to infants/children under three. She provides a warm, safe home filled with good families and good kids. The small environment at Evelyn's allows each child to be nurtured and loved. Furthermore, being small allows individualized care in helping with the trials and tribulations of growing up; we’ve seen the “picky” eater learn to eat new foods and the biter to stop biting. To all who know her it is clear Evelyn has a daycare solely because of her love of children. Her talents include gardening, music and in the kitchen she is phenomenal! She often hosts great parties for the whole family, yum!

I would like to recommend Evelyn Carter and the small group childcare that she runs at her home. Evelyn was a stay-at-home mom for 20+ years and has two lovely children. My son has been going to her family care, 3 days a week, since September. He has thrived there -- he loves Evelyn, her assistant, and the other children; he comes home singing new songs and using new expressions; and joyfully declares ''I'm going to Evelyn's house!'' Evelyn has a warm, inviting, safe home and a frontyard with swings and slides. She serves homecooked meals. She interacts with the children a great deal, playing games with them, reading to them, etc. Fortunately, with two staff and approximately 5 children per day, all the kids get a lot of attention and love.
