CLCH has been a wonderful place for my daughter for almost her
entire life! The program that is provided has grown with my
child, meeting her intellectual, artistic, physical, and
emotional needs. There is a strong Montessori influence in the
program as well as the integration of dance/movement and music,
provided by trained teachers. All of the materials and
activities that are available to the children are thoughtful
and have a definite role in helping to develop the child
appropriately. The hours are fairly flexible. The standard
tuition rate applies to an 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. day. Extended
hours before and after are also available for an extra fee.
There are openings for children ages 2 to 4, but there may be
room for younger children if space is available.
The director, Agnes Ballesteros, is an incredibly nurturing
teacher who loves what she does, and the children love her.

Re: Seeking full time preschool for my 2 year old
My daughter's home based Montessori pre-school in the Grand Lake
neighborhood of Oakland has one opening this summer and at least
one for the fall. The openings are for kids aged 2-5. Creative
Learning Children's House has 12 children and 3 teachers. We are
very happy with the loving, nurturing care that our daughter gets
there. Call the director, Agnes at (510)834-8196.
