Casa De Ninos

Editor Note: there is a preschool in Oakland with a similar name - "Casa de los Ninos" - see this page
Casa de Ninos is located at 1809 Key Blvd., El Cerrito, Calif., (just behind the Del Norte Bart Station). We have been in the childcare business over 20+ years focusing on preschool and afterschool programs. We service St. John's in El Cerrito, Castro Elementary school, & Harding Elementary schools. I looked at the past reviews of this after-school daycare. Does anyone have any more recent experiences with this program? I am particularly interested in hearing from people whose children were picked up from Harding Elementary but learning about any interactions--both positive and negative-- with this place would be helpful in my decision to send my child there. Thanks.

We've been with Casa for almost 3 years now and our experience has been mostly positive. Actually compared to the other three day care/after school places we've had Casa stands out as the best. Thank You.

Re: Afterschool care for Harding Kindergartener
Casa de Ninos in El Cerrito runs a pre-school and an afterschool program. They have a large van that picks up kids mostly from St Johns and Castro School; I don't know if they would pick up from Harding. They have lots of afternoon enrichments from taking the kids to Windmill gymastics, to offering piano lessons at a neighbor's home, to bringing in teachers to teach art, knitting, french, etc. eve

Re: Castro Elementary School
Re afterschool care, we enrolled our son in Casa de Ninos, a home daycare. They have a van to pick up the kids and they are enrolled in all kinds of programs: windmill gymnastics, piano, art classes; they do a lot of creative things there. jennifer
