Re: Alameda preschools: NON Montessori (Oct 2005)
Our daughter strarted at ABC Prescool in Alameda when she was
2. She is now 4 and is in her final year there. ABC has been
wonderful. The teachers are all very warm, kind and patient.
The teachers have all been there longer than we have (no turn-
ABC is a play-based preschool.
We have met some wonderful families through ABC and have made
what I expect will be life long friends.
As for my daughter she LOVES it. When I drop her off in the
morning she happily says good-bye and when I return to pick her
up she always asks if she can play for a few minutes more.
ABC offers full and part-time schedules and they are reasonably
priced. ABC provides hot lunch once a week (the best day of the
week for me!) Oh and they potty train!
Good luck with your search.
My daughter attends ABC Preschool in Alameda at Bay
Street & Lincoln. 521-6488

They are very diverse (staff and students).
Very very low turn over. We have been there over
a year and no one has left.
My daughter LOVES it! They focus on learning through
play. The teachers are very kind and loving.
The rates are great! I believe they are the cheapest
on the island.
They offer full and part-time care.
They potty train!
They have hot lunch once a week and there is a
tumbling program available.
Re: Part-time preschool for 18-month-old (April 2004)
My daughter started ABC preschool last August when she turned
2. We LOVE it! They have wonderful staff that has been there
forever! The curriculum is play based. The place is clean and
well organized. They potty train!! They offer both part-time
and full-time care. They have hot lunch once a week and they
offer a tumbling program 1 day a week too. But the true test,
my daughter, she LOVES it! Feel free to email me if you want
