Daytime Activities for Visiting Kids

My cousin and her husband, will be in town for a day, visiting from Florida next week with their 6- and 3.5-year old sons, and I was hoping someone might be able to recommend a fun daytime activity for everyone. I have a newborn so ideally it would be somewhere relatively close by. Thanks! Elizabeth

The Adventure Playground down by the Marina is unique. Fun, messy, very low-tech and creative.

Merely special are the merry-go-round, steam train, picnic areas, pony rides and nature areas at Tilden.

You could also take a kite and a picnic to Chesar Chavez park and enjoy the bay, or visit the new Robert Leathers Playstructure at Aquatic park (near the base of Bancroft street).
