I see Dr. Sophia Sharma at Alameda. I think she is very competent, warm, and friendly. She really takes her time with me and answers all my questions, etc. I have also heard great things about Dr. Raheem, who is also at Kaiser Alameda and I would feel confident seeing either of them. anon

I'm not sure if you'd consider Alameda, but I have been really happy with Dr. Rahim. My first pregnancy I saw a nurse practioner in Oakland and the care was okay. By my second pregnancy, the Alameda office was open and I saw Dr. Rahim. She really listened and discussed with me my concerns and options. I didn't feel like I was getting the canned responses I got with the NPs.

I am transfering to my husband's benefits. He has Kaiser and we live in Alameda. Can anyone recommend a good O.B./GYN at the Kaiser office in Alameda? I have one child and we would like to have another baby in the next year or so. I had numerous difficulties with my former O.B. and want to start a good relationship with a detail-oriented O.B. (e.g., I had a difficult delivery with my son and want an O.B. who will carefully review my medical history and help me make informed decisions).

I would recommend Dr. Bui. I did not have a pregnancy/birth with this OB/GYN but she has been helping me with other diffficult issues. Dr. Bui seems very detail oriented and takes the time to really get to know you.

I highly recommend Dr. Rahim. She is fabulous! She is young but has lots of experience and is incredible knowlegeable. She really took the time to listen to my concerns.. Unfortunately, she was not available when I delivered my son.

I have been a Kaiser patient for over 25 years. I can recommend a couple of Dr's for you. My husband and a few family members all see Dr. Charlie Chu in Alameda. He is wonderful! Kind, caring, and young and males and females feel comfortable with him, even my husband who used to hate going to the Dr.
