Re: Female Primary Care Physician (March 2005)
Amy Gordon is a female GP with the Alta Bates medical group.
She works at West Berkeley Family Clinic. The waiting room is
sometimes a little scary, but the folks who work there have
generally done well by me, Amy Gordon in particular. She's easy-
going, to the point, friendly, knowledgeable, and has always
struck me as truly interested in finding a way to help me be
well given whatever it is I come in with, be it a broken bone,
a concussion, or my first pregnancy. My husband actually
recommended her to me, as she's done well by him for a couple
years.

Re: Primary Physician - Health Net (Oct 2004)
I briefly had Amy Gordon as my primary care doc (also with Healthnet).
Though I liked her, I found the practice unbearable -- very long waits in a
crowded waiting room. After maybe 2 appointments I decided i couldn't
take it anymore, which was disappointing. I have since switched to
Anne Williams in Montclair, and my one experience has been positive
and wait-free.

Re: MD for teen daughter
Re Amy Gordon -- well, I'm not sure this counts, but Amy is a
very good friend of a good friend of mine, and I know her from
my own college days. Very conscientious, hard-working, bright,
young-ish (if I can say that about my own contemporary),
personable. I'd expect her to be accessible to the younger set,
and I'd recommend giving her a try.
