We are looking for a good female primary care physician in the Berkeley area who is in the Alta Bates Medical Group and takes HealthNet HMO. Any suggestions are much appreciated. T

    I've searched the archives, but I'm hoping to get a few more up-to-date responses. I'm looking for a female primary care physician. Issues that are important: Friendly, organized office staff, ease of appointments, same-day appts, experience, non-patronizing manner, location (I live in Rockridge). I'm 40, mother of two, family history of cancer (so need someone very pro-active in that area), but no other major issues or particular interest in holistic or alternative medicine. Thanks. Time for a Check-Up
