Re: Fabulous Dentist
I love my dentist Dr Kami. He's gentle, kind and thorough. In my experience he has not over or under diagnosed. And though you have to wait a little while for your first appt, he makes himself available when you have an issue. He always calls me in the evening after procedures to check on things. He is what all dentists should be. He's on Universtiy Ave just west of MLK. amy

I have gone to my dentist for over 30 years and I can highly recommend him. He treats his employees well and is very competent. He no longer uses amalgam fillings and just did a great job on my daughters fillings. He is Dr. Kami on University Ave in Berkeley j3

It's a little bit of a walk, but Dr. Kami is the best dentist I've ever come across. His office is on University near Grant. I've been seeing the same hygienist, Alma, for several years and she's terrific. His staff is professional and friendly, and the office waiting time is short. anon
I have to chime in for a third recommendation...Barry Kami (510) 845-1396 is a really great dentist. I switched over to him a over five years ago and I have been so impressed with both him and his lovely staff. Barry is a very generous, warm, friendly person who I have come to know personally. Also, he treats his staff VERY well (pay, gifts, vacations etc.), and we all know that happy people give great service!

RE: Dentists Who Do Great Crowns
I never miss an opportunity to recommend my fabulous dentist, Dr. Kami on University Ave in Berkeley. I now live in Palo Alto but still commute almost 50 miles to see him for my regular checkup. He has a great, friendly office. I don't know about crowns, but he made two beautiful bridges for me (replacing congenitally missing teeth, so a bit like 3 crowns in a row) that have held up beautifully, look great, and have never given me a moment's worry. virginia

Barry Kami is an all-around great dentist--crowns and everything else! I've been going to him for about 10 years, and have sent countless friends to him, all of whom have been very happy. I have had at least 2 or 3 crowns, and never any problems. He is warm and caring and his whole staff is equally wonderful! He's on University Ave in Berkeley just below MLK. 845-1396 Tracy

As a fellow dental-phobe, I can highly recommend Dr. Barry Kami on University Ave. in Berkeley, just below MLK. All of his dental hygienists are wonderful, too, but I especially like Carole and request her every time. Lauren
