Trombone Lessons

I'm looking for a trombone teacher for my 10 year old son.
I checked the archives but the most recent recommendation is
over two years old. He's a rank beginner, but he likes
playing the few swing songs he's been given by the school
brass teacher. Thanks.

I highly recommend Becca Burrington in North Oakland. She
has many years teaching and performance experience and in

My 11-year-old has been playing the trombone for a year. We're
seeking a teacher in the North Berkeley area.... any
recommendations?

Very cool to have a horn player in the family. I suggest
contacting your local public school, if you go to one. There's
a band teacher named Duane Worm at Bret Harte Middle School in
Oakland who can probably give you a teacher's name. Also Best
Music downtown on Broadway -- they offer lessons or would know
who to contact. Also A&G music on 14th Street, but I think
they're more adult oriented. You might have to try a few
lessons with different folks to see who fits best. Enjoy!
