4-year-old who uses a walker

Oct 2004

I have a 4 y/o son who uses a walker and is a very social and happy child. He loves baseball, basketball, and I would love to find a program that would be suitable for his walker. We are in a special needs swim program (SNAP) but he would really benefit from the socialization aspect of the other types of sports too. At the very least, I would love to find an afternoon program where he was around peers for a couple hours. Any suggestions? We moved here from the Delta in order to attend a special school so I am not too familiar with anthing yet. I do belong to the Y and will check out what is there tomorrow. Thanks for any suggestions. P.S. Have a 4 month old also. Sara

Hi, have you tried RCH - recreation for the handicapped? that's what the place is called. you can also call te support for families in san francisco, i know they network with other counties, and can refer you to some fun sports for your little one. claudia
