Where to Donate Garden Produce

Berkeley Parents Network > Reviews > Charity, Donations & Recycling > Where to Donate Garden Produce

Nov 2009

Can someone tell me the name of the group who will come and pick garden produce to donate it to a food bank or community produce exchange. We have tons of pineapple guavas. Usually take them to the zoo...... lark

Contact North Berkeley Harvest: http://www.northberkeleyharvest.org/ They harvest produce and give to schools, shelters, etc., and not just in Berkeley. It's an all-volunteer operation.
Forage Oakland (http://forageoakland.blogspot.com/) will do this for you. Urban Youth Harvest (http://www.peopleunited.org/uyh/) is another option, but I think they may be just a summer program. Thanks for sharing! Fellow Gardener
