Single Parenting

1 (a madar)

Salam Bar Shoma,

I'm a single parent of a 6 yrs old daughter. I wanted to open a discussion with other parents about their experiences, not only of being single parents(my ex-husband is in the picture, but very much plays the Disney Land father), but of being a single parent with the Iraninan community, and also your thoughts on second marraiges and its impact on children and yourself. Of course,I only have a 6 yrs experience with this, but want to prepare myself for what's ahead(if I can).

It is interesting, although my daughter has never known what it'd be like to be a "family"(we were seperated when she was only 6 months old), she very much seeks for us to be together, as a unit. It is something that I had certainly not expected!

Would very much love to hear from our wise madars and pedars.
