Trouble Finding a Nanny
Over the past couple of years, I have tried to find a babysitter who
would come once a week, start a laundry, do some light house cleaning,
pick up my daughter from preschool and babysit until 9:30 or 10:00. They
need to have a car and speak English. I have advertised $10/ hour. All
of the people I have hired have been young women who after 3 or 4
months, move on with their lives, so I start all over again. In the
last six months, it has been harder to find someone. I have advertised
at Berkeley, Mills, Merritt, St. Mary's, CCAC, and Holy Name. No
calls. I have advertised here. Few calls. I have gone through Bananas
and Neighborhood Moms. Nothing appropriate. Does anyone have any other
ideas?
