I am looking for a hair stylist for my wedding (someone who has
experience with up-dos). We are getting married in Berkeley so
I would prefer someone in the East Bay.
I got married last September at the Brazil Room in Tilden Park. My
amazing
hairstylist/make-up applier was Shila at Zahra Salon in Richmond
(''Hilltop Mall?'').
510-223-3031 She is super sweet, super competent and reasonably priced -
she
took my suggestions and made changes during the trial to get what I was
looking
for. And my hair the day of my wedding was awesome - exactly what I
wanted - my
bridesmaids looked great, too (though they had less time to spend on
their hair and
be specific about what they wanted since they didn't have trials). You
can go to her
salon in RIchmond (which I did) or you can have her come to you to for an
extra fee.
Her mom also does styling, if you have several bridesmaids you want all
done at
once. But Shila is really the expert. I really think she did an amazing
job with both
my hair and make-up, and I highly, highly recommend her to any bride.

Hi,
I am matron of honour for a wedding on April 5th and have been
let down by the hairdresser I wanted to come and do the bride's
hair. I am not from the area originally and need to come up with
someone FAST. Does anyone have any recommendations or know
someone who can spare an hour or so on April 5th. They don't
need to cut - only to style and dress the bride's hair.
