Re: Good hairstylists for very straight Asian hair
I would HIGHLY recommend LISA HARVIE the owner and stylist/colorist I go
to. Lisa owns SHED at 1518 Park in Emeryville. Her number is
510.655.1168. I have shoulder-length very straight blonde hair and she has
done a spectacular job with the cut and the highlights. I've sent two of
my Asian friends to her and they've been very satisfied. Lisa herself has
long, straight hair. Good luck!

I go to Lisa Harvie who owns Shed on 1518 Park Avenue in Emeryville, her
cell is 925 381 5515. I think that she is exceptionally good at cutting
hair, although I do not color my hair. I see other women there who get
their hair colored. I pay $60 for a cut.
I have very fine curly hair that was historically a challenge for other
stylists, but she has always done a great job. I first came to her after a
hair cutting disaster by someone else, it was awful. She not only fixed my
hair but only charged me half price...
Happy with my hair cut
An incredibly talented hair colorist is Michelle Erikson who has recently
moved to a new salon in Emeryville. She was referred to me by the woman who
cuts my hair as the best colorist she knows of and I have been going to her
for a couple of years. She is especially good at grey blending and creating
a natural look. I never see root lines when my hair grows out and she uses
a variety of tones so that most people don't even realize I have my hair
colored. They just wonder why I have so few gray hairs. Michelle does great
cuts for men and women, and judging from her own hair will also do much
more adventurous things than the natural look I prefer. She pays a lot of
attention to coordinating hair with skin tones.
She is at The Shed, 1518 Park Avenue, Emeryville (510)529-9443
